Is your cotton OEKO‑TEX certified? Is it GOT organic certified? What’s the difference?
Yes, our cotton is OEKO‑TEX certified (tested for harmful substances). No, it is not GOT certified organic.
What's the difference? GOT (global organic textile standard) certification is about how the cotton is grown. It’s all about the farming and where the cotton starts. OEKO‑TEX certification is how the product is made, it checks the finished product e.g. harmful chemicals, irritants etc. Both are important, but focus on different parts. In summary, GOT is about growing the cotton and OEKO-TEX is about what touches the skin.
What materials are Muckee products made from?
100% OEKO‑TEX certified cotton with overlocked edges, no plastics or nasties.
Are Muckee products safe for sensitive or eczema‑prone skin?
Yes, the OEKO‑TEX certification and gentle construction make them suitable for little, sensitive skin.
How do I wash and care for my Muckee?
Machine wash daily with a gentle detergent. Wash with similar colours.
Will the edging fray?
Edges are overlocked to reduce irritation. Small frays can occur but a quick snip with scissors removes them.
How long will a Muckee last?
They’re highly absorbent and durable and designed to survive repeated washes and everyday toddler life.
